Just got off with Dodge Customer Service and found out that my Magnum has been moved back to BG from BX status. When I asked why this was the rep said that they put all Magnums on hold until August to finish the 300s that they had on order. Anyone else hear about this?

 

I called yesterday and they told me the same thing. Big demand for the 300's and a backlog of orders. They said Magnum build would resume in August, but didn't give a definite date. They said 10 days to build and 3-4 weeks to ship, I figure it's going to be early Oct before I see my car....*sniff* not sure I can wait that long...

 

I spoke with my dealer today and he assured me today that I would get my magnum in august.

 

I hope that you do get your Magnum in August, but I wouldn't put any faith in anything you get from a car dealer. Do you have a VON for the car? If so, call Chrysler yourself and find out the status. Here's a link to find out how to do it.

Might be time to search websites of dealers to try and find a Magnum that is in stock already. That is how I found mine, by looking at the dealers stock inventory. I got everything I wanted (including color) except for the Smokers Option - my wife smokes.

At last count, my local dealer (Rallye Dodge) in Ocala, FL had five in stock. That is 5 RTs, he does have V6 models also.

I just called to check the status of my RT, which was ordered June 26. It's still in BG status waiting on unspecified parts.

Take this with a grain or two of salt, but she said that they are already scheduled through August. That means if your Magnum isn't already scheduled to be built, it won't be built until September at the earliest. Yuck. [:'(]

 

Ordered ours 06/12/04. As of 07/19/04 it was in D status,given a VIN # with a tentative build date of 08/20/04.

 

stopped by the dealer again today and got the print out with the von.will check the link for status . shows as still bg, dealer said that he had 2 priority orders. mine and one of the owners. He still says august.

 

oh by thee way, if any one is in the new york westchester count area. adzam mazda/dodge has one, and only one magnum rt black with gps nav. not to sure what other features. fairly well equiped. sticker was apx 34,500.

Was told that the wait time was in direct relation to the dealer allottment of magnums...and not so much delays in manufacturing.

We shall see today if he(sales manager) was full of **** or not
