Tradeda 2006 SXT that I only owned one month for a super clean vanilla 2005RT in Nov. Was getting 12 mpg in town at first but then tried keeping my foot out of it (yeah it is difficult to do) and let it drive itself. Now up to 17-18 mpg in town. I have gotten 30 mpg going downhill 100 miles interstate from Prescott to Phx. Same ride uphill is 19 mpg. There is a steep 10 mile hill going north from Phx and I can set the cruise at 70 (65 speed limit) and itwon't downshift and remains at 2200 RPM. My previous Camry 4cyl and other 4 cyl carswould shift down and scream up the hill at 4K rpm's. Even the 6 cyl's scream up the hill. This is the only car I have liked since I drove Mercedes wagons for years. First mod?Maybe aMercedes emblem on the hood. Hoo haa. An overlooked item:Toyota and Honda have too much glass, especially the windscreen. It's like driving a greenhouse. In AZ that means you can't hide from the sun and it will burn your *** up. The Mag is perfect; small windows and the windscreen is forward.

That sounds about right! My RT gets a 2-way average of 25 cruising at 65 on I40.

Even the 6 cyl's scream up the hill.

It takes about the same energy (gas) to move cars of the same shape and weight at the same speed over the same road, whether it's a 4 or 6 working hard or a V8 loafing.

The MDS really helps! I'd like an SRT8, but won't buy one without MDS!
