I have a 2005 magnum sxt, and the problem is that after a cold nite outside(0-10 degrees)the battery is dead in the morning,so ihave to jump start it.I have had it to the shop many times and they never find a problem. Anyone else having this problem or any information please help me out.

Either your leaving something on or the battery is bad. Go have it tested, most auto parts or the dealer do it for free. Sounds to me like its got a dead cell or 2.

Im not leaving anything on and the battery has been tested and the dealership said they had replaced it before. Im starting to believe the starter is having a problem in the cold. Nice picture by the way, oh the car is nice to.

Thanks, and Tara thanks you too.

If its under warranty, let them replace the starter. Personally I dont see the starter being bad. Usually only things wrong with starter are when the solenoid fails to engage (clicks like dead battery) or it 'heat soaks'. That only when the starter is hot and dont turn the engine over fast enough to start. Are all the cables good and tight? Does it start OK when its warm?

I have replaced the battery and the problem hasn't happened since. Although it hasn't been very cold here lately. The last time it wouldn't start it did click like a dead battery though. Maybe the problem is fixed now I have to wait and see thanks for the info.

glad it seems fixed. Still sounds like battery had a weak cell or 2, those are usually the symtoms. Ill bet the dealer just did a voltage check and didnt take the time for a load test that would have shown that.
