Default fabricated hood

Looking for feedback. Positive or negative, better than nothing. Hood is in primer. First time post, hope I did it right to view pics.

Thanks for the comments. It has been painted since these were taken but I goofed. Thinking it would look better, I had the grill painted black too; now there is not enough chrome to strike a good balance. Will post new pics shortly. I don't expect the mud work to last long in this frigid cold (MN-WI) so I'm looking to get the hood reproduced in a 1-piece fiberglass.

It looks great. Are those hood vents down towards the front?

The vents you mentioned are purely cosmetic. Just as they were on the donor hood, ie. 93-97 Firebird/TA. Thanks for the feedback.

Oh Yeah, that is nice. Good Job. Now you will have to share how you did it, better yet share with someone who can reproduce it at a competitive price.

Unfortunately I didn't save any pics I took during the hoods construction. I cut up adonor hood, isolated the hood scoop recesses by cutting and separating the upper and lower sheetmetal, created a uniform shape on one, made a cardboard template of that one and transferred the shape to the other scoop; then used the duplicate templates to locate theproper location on the OEM hood that was not only asthetically pleasingbut square and true from left to right and front to back, alsoensuring that the factory washer spouts retained their original location. Stenciled around the templates on the hood and cut the openings. Installed a backer flange along the OE hood openings to support the scoops and bonded the assembly together. From that point on its just fiberglass blending and shaping to give it a factory appearance. The belly of the hood can retain the OE fiberglass liner or use those under-hood aftermarket stainless steel dress up kits.
As you can guess fabrication took numerous hours and funds to create. Since creating this post I have partnered with a company willing to re-produce if there isstrong publicinterest. Look it up in Ebay Stores; Magnum Trans Air
From here it's up to you. Thanks for the interest in the design.
