Whats the better look on 20" Rims , 245/45/20 or 245/40/20 ?
I am thinking about buy SRT 300 Replica Rims for my 2005 Magnum R/T. They are 20" Chrome. My question is the guy I am buying them from wants to sell me 245/40/20 Tire. I noticed the SRT 300 Comes with 245/45/20 tire. Do you think its a big difference in look? I wanted a bigger tire to fill out the rest of the space but if the difference is so slight then I figured I would save the money and buy the 245/40/20.I just hate the look of a bigger rim with atiny tire. I just wantedsome feedbackor pictures to compare the look.

They are both pretty close. I would say it depends on your taste. The 45's give a slight beefier look and the 40's a lower profile look.
I had 265/30/22's but I did'nt care for the "rubber bands for tires" look.

is the difference between the 45 and the 40 like 1/4" ? I hate the rubber band look as well. Do you think 245/40/20 will give me a rubber band look?
go to tirerack .com and look for your tire size ,it will give you all the specs.i went with a 255/55/18 on mine from a 225/60/18 i got some serious rubber now.
remember the lower the profile the harsher the ride too.these cars love touring tires check them out there the best bang for the buck, you get ride quality, along with wet traction, dry traction, and handling.
I agree with Strykker, I personally have 275/40/20 and love the look. Again, no rubbing.

Definitly the 245-45 R20's over the 245-40 R20's, every single one i've see with the 245/40's looked silly, looked like someone swiped the tires on a riced Civic, tires just look to small, there's enough wheel gap with the proper sized tire, let alone a smaller OD one.
