I haven't heard anything yet but will post if I see something. I am not in any hurry to replace the stock units though. They have proven particularly capable especially when mated with the BF Goodrich tires.

You folks go run out and buy your drilled/slotted rotors if you must. They do absolutely nothing for braking performance-unless hurting performance counts. I can give you the "R" rated link my acquaintances and I had going for awhile. It has over 100 posts from every racing expert you can think of. Nobody with any credibility is running drilled rotors. I already know a lot of cars are starting to come OE with them, so what. The only OE drilled rotors I know of that actually work and are worth the money are on the Porsche 959? maybe. They retail for about $7,000/ea-not a typo.

edit for speeeling

I agree with the above, they look nice but usually aren't worth the extra cost.

Unless you plan to road race, which I don't do.

I will continue to use the parachute mounted on my tailgate......just kidding.

I had drilled rotors on my old Integra. They were terrible. I thiught the stick rotors were MMUCCHH better. When it rained The braked actually had a delay before they would grab (hard to understand that one but it scared the **** out of me everytime on the highway) it was like watching the car infront of you STOP and you keep driving then all of a sudden the passenger put the brakes on when they felt like it...They would jst delay and then grab. I would NOT waste the money on them. Buy some mood ligting instead or something ANYTHING but those rotors. If you are going to replace them I'd say maybe go with a 4 piston Brembo system...anyone agree?

Yeah, I usually stick with stock on rotors, but frozen rotors seem to help some. If I was to do anything to them I would have them cyro'ed.

Wow, am i the only one who has had good experiences with sloted rotors??? Im not blaming all of my happiness on the rotors, the upgraded pade probably had more to do with my joy. This is a heavy car, and i didnt buy the Hemi to drive it like Ms. Daisy. I beleive brake fade will be a problem. For anyone who has experienced brake fade, you know you never want to experience that EVER AGAIN. I think for street application, the stock calipers are fine, twin piston PBR calipers are stock (that is what the look like). That is also what bullitt/cobra mustangs run. After the change in pads for performance and rotors mostly for looks, i never saw a sign of brake fade again. As soon as something is available, i will be purchasing.

Especially for someone who wants to do some "spirted" driving. Run a google search for drilled rotors. I have been racing for a about 12 years now, NO ONE I race with runs drilled rotors. You will NEVER see them on a SCCA car, a road course car, NASCAR-starting to make you wonder why if they are so great? Just trying to inform the obviously uninformed, drilled rotors WILL NOT improve braking performance, by drilling the rotor you are removing surface area that the pads need in order to slow the car. Also, drilled WILL crack, they do everytime.

I agree with dodgemech 100%. The drilled roters actually hold water in the holes druing a rain storm and eat away the breaking ability.

for normal, or "spririted" driving ,stock will do fine. IF (and thats a big if) i were to replace my roters I would THINK about slotted roters. And if i was spending that amount of cash, i would upgrade to Brembo or willwood while im at it.

JMHO

Well im sure NO ONE you race with run stock pads. I am also sure they have some sort of brake cooling. Racers are going through parts way faster than a street application. A set of rotors with an agressive pad my last a few races. To pay the additional cost of slotted/drilled rotors is probably one factor keeping them away from them. In that capacity, brake ducts and fans are more effective. The stock pads are the real weakest link. I have read of the problems with drilled rotors and have mainly been a fan of the sloted style. The amound of material removed by the slot is minimal. If they provide no increase, they still look good.
