Default Wheel Locks

Just wanted to warn you guys and gals, that if you buy wheel locks, make sure the key part is the same size of your wheel wrench or you may have to carry a special wrench with you.

I looked at many name brand wheel locks for the Magnum, they all had a key that was a bigger wrench size. The wheel locks for the Magnum are :

14mm X 1.5 inches, tapered seat

Our wheel lugs and wrench are 13/16" (it may be metric) and most wheel lock sets use a key that is 3/4" size.

I bought two different lock sets and still was not satisfied.
So I bought the Dodge wheel locks and even their key size was a tad too big, I had to touch it up with a bench grinder to get it to fit the stock lug wrench.

So heads up.

Bob

Thanks for the heads up Bob. I am lucky enough now to live in an area where wheel thefts (and thefts from and of autos) are rare, but I spent a good portion of my life in Baltimore where I had two cars stolen from my driveway and a partners car stolen from the police district's lot! I hope those locks keep yours where they belong.
