Default Stole Idea From blackmagnumrt

I finally installed my R/T emblem to replace the inappropriate RT letters on the back of my Magnum. Dodge never made an RT!!

Excrement! I mean, Excellent!

Hey how did that stick on anyway? Mine is in the mail (hopefully...), I was just curious to make sure I had the proper adhesive/gunk/beer on hand.

I was going to buy it from Jack's Auto Parts, but got it from a vendor at the Mopar Nats instead (same price, no shipping). I just peeled off the protective plastic and it already had adhesive on it. The one you've ordered may have it as well. If not, just use clear silicone adhesive. That's what I used for an emblem that didn't have posts on my 67 Barracuda.

Was the old one hard to remove?

Nope, not at all. Unlike old Mopars that used posts and fasteners, these are just glued on. I got a small flat head screw driver and wrapped a paper towel around it. Then I just pried it off. It's even easier if it's hot outside.

The R/T emblem is a reproduction, not NOS, so it's just peel and stick, too. No posts.

Looks great. How did you safely remove the factory badge? Just to clarify, this emblem is from a 1970 or 1971 Dodge Challenger so Dodge did indeed make an R/T (Charger had an R/T option also). The '70 and '71's used the adhesive back.

Looks awesome on that color! Welcome to the "club." I just want a piece of the action from Jack's now...

Drive safe!

I am still waiting to get my R/T emblem from Jack's Auto Parts, I can't say I am pleased with them.

After waiting 2 weeks, I emailed them to see what the problem was. A reply said it was shipped. More waiting, I again emailed them - no response. Then I called them, a girl said she would have to check status and would call me back in 10 minutes. She never did call back.

Am tempted to go elsewhere to buy the emblem, but as soon as I do, the first emblem would probably show up.

I will try to contact them again.

Still waiting,
Bob

My appologies to Jack's Auto Parts, my R/T emblem came today.
