We'll, I bit the SXT bullet and I'm very happy, except..... I drove an RT on Premier nite and wanted one so baaaddddd...... My only concern was gas mileage. I am dying to know what you guys, and gals, are truely getting for gas mileage.
Like to here from SE. SXT, and RT owners.
If this question has already been posted, sorry. I looked for this info several weeks before buying and could not find it anywhere. I was going to post it then buy but could not wait. Almost pulled the trigger on a way too cool white vanalli RT, only option was power pedals. Price was just a little higher then what I paid.

RT - gas mileage
i do a lot of city driving, and get around 15 mpg. on the highway i get around 19 mpg (unless i drive real conservatively-best is low 20s). i'll tell u this messing around with the mpg calculator (comes with electronic group) i can average pretty high under real light loads, but with that much hp under ur foot u tend do give her a go
. when u do, be ready cuz she turns into a hungry gas guzzlin beast that'll bring the average mpg down real quick.

RE: Gas Mileage?
OK. I've had my RT for a month and this is what I have found. If you drive 55-60 mph and do NOT accelerate quickly you CAN get about 23-24 mph (caclulated by actually driving and filling the tank, NOT with the on-board computer which is very innacurate).
Real world mileage for me which consists of about 50% 70 mph highway cruising, 35% stop-and-go freeway crawling and 15% around-town is about 16 mpg.

Also have a sxt and we got 23 on the first tank which was basically highway miles. Next tank around town was 19. Respectable for car with 600 miles on it. Did not run each tank dry. No problems at all just drive it.

Had my RT for two months now and have 4k miles on it. I have gotten between 15, was led footing on that tank, to 26 on a highway trip. I average 19 to 20 combo driving.

First tank of gas I got 17MPG, second tank I got 18MPG, now have about 1200 miles on car. Last tank was about 18.5 MPG.
I don't worry about gas mileage, if I did, I wouldn't have bought an RT.
I just bought to have fun driving it.

My SXT has about 2300 miles on it, and I am averaging 19 MPG around town and about 23-24 MPG on the highway at a steady 75 MPH cruise, and that is on regular gas. I noticed that once the car had about 2000 miles on it, it seemed to loosen up a little, became a bit quicker and more responsive, and the mileage went up about 1 MPG...
