Default Supercharger Questions

Does anyone have a supercharger on their 5.7L engine?
How long ago (miles)?
How difficult was it to install?
How has the car performed since the installation?
Are other mods needed when the supercharger is installed? I've read a few comments about problems using stock pistons.

Thanks.

I've heard that a ford product ( supercharger ), ones they put on the Mustang is okay because it is not affecting the warrANTY. But thats only for those who haven't paid their mags off.

The very thin 'ring land' on the factory 5.7 v8
improves fuel economy and lowers emissions
but it won't live very long under supercharging
even if you were to use 93 octane all the time:

for more information read the very good article
which was written with Dodge engineers co-operating with David Vizard:

I didn't see anything in the article about superchargers. Are you suggesting that I change my pistons too?

Heed 65's warning. Out of ever 5.7 I've heard of using the GSM blower NONE have survived.

Out of the 7 or 8 6.1's Iknow running it, only 3 I know of have survived... and I'm still waiting for the other show to drop on those.
