Default RT AWD vs. RWD (pros and cons)

I want the RT but I'm undecided on wether to get the AWD or RWD.
In the future, I plan on putting a supercharger, wouldn't it be better to have an AWD system to plant all that power on the road.
would the AWD reduce the 0-60 time?
I know fuel economy will suffer, but if you have any imput, share it.
thanks.

I think AWD would help in the 0-60, but it is gonna add some extra weight. Also depends on how they much beef up the driveline. With a RWD and some drag radials, you shouldnt have any traction problems.

i dont think it'll improve 1/4 and 0-60 times seeing that its hard to spin the wheels in this car. my previous car was a mitsubishi eclispe gs-t (turbo with 2 wheel drive) and factory the 2wd was faster than the gsx (awd). unless there are some dramatic performance upgrades that would require awd to launch the car more efficiently. otherwise, awd will prolly improve handling and if u live in winter snow areas, i think its a must.

I think that being hard to spin the tires doesn't mean the magnum has enough traction, I belive it's the torque manegment and traction control limiting it, the hemi rams have the exact same issue even with no weight on the rear end, one of the guys I work with has a 1500 hemi sport, he says he can barely chirp the tires while the older rams with the 5.9 can smoke the tires with no problems and the 5.9 in the rams only had 245HP/335TQ vs the ram's hemi which has 345HP/375TQ and both havs 3.92 rear ends.

The fact that AWD systems don't chirp tires and jump straight ahead when flooring the gas pedal won't make the Magnum any faster than the current traction control it has. It is already not smoking its tires. In fact, the AWD will make the Magnum less faster acceleration-wise. AWD adds weight so it will reduce performance.

The most important advantage of the Magnum AWD over the RWD will be better and safer road handling in general, especially in difficult weather.
