That is sweet you own an old mopar racer. I didn't know that 68' cars had the dual hood scoops, thought that came out in '69, and '68 r/t coronets and superbees had the power buldge hood. any how thats cool you hold on to it instead of being a moron and junking her.

HI BANDIT,
i bought the old bird as is! front end was messed up, the front original bumper, the grill, head lite buckets, desroyed! all i know is that car had functional hood scoops. i sold the scoops back in 1992 for $150 bucks each. they had 383 magnum on each side. and what was left of the engine
she had a 383hp block. but it was ruined. the block was cast with thedate on the side of the block andthe date was 05-01-68. i took the rest out of the old bird and rod bearings dates were the same. give or take a few months, but they were constistant. the transmission was a 727!
sorry guys my race car now has a 318 w/360 heads, and intake is 2v the heads are 4v!comp cams extreme energy cam 488/491 lift, 274 duration. the cam is dual pattern grind! it likes 4bbl,
hi rise intakes, headers, dual exhuast. mine are 2 1/2 open, no mufflers, staight pipes! i have to run a cool plug, runs cooler and its quieter to. even with no mufflers. i beat the guys at the race
track, my db 78 with no mufflers, staight pipes! yeah! go figure!
