Default Sold The Belvedere

I sold the Belvedere to my brother. At least we're keeping it in the family. He's going to change it to a 4 spd to make it more fun as a driver. This will finance some things I'm doing to the SRT and our Duster project. The SRT is getting a turbo, stripes, wheels, lowering kit and a shifter upgrade. We're going to concentrate on getting our Duster ready for Mopars at the Strip in '06. We were shooting for 9s in the Duster but in talking last night I think we're going to aim for mid to high 10s. Then we can gradually build up to the nines later. Being in the 9s is a whole other level of suspension and safety concerns. I have mixed feelings but life must go on. Some of you will understand the need to start new projects. When a car is pretty much done it's like a finished jig saw. You display it on the table for a few days but eventually you put it away and start a new puzzle. Putting the puzzle together is most of the fun.

Didn't know you were looking to part with it, Phil! So if your brother has too much to deal with now, will he be looking to part with his R/T? Just hopin' and dreamin'.... probably couldn't afford it anyway. At least it's still in the family- you can get visitation rights!

I took the Belvedere to one last car show a week ago Saturday and a guy made my a very lucrative offer on it. I called my brother who was going to buy it and he said I'd be a fool not to take the guy's offer. So, to make a long story short, the guy came and picked it up on Saturday. Still waiting for parts in the mail so haven't started the turbo install on the truck. I did install the lowering kit yesterday and will put the shifter in this morning.
