1966 Polara survivor car
I'm looking at a 1966 Polara convertible, with a 440 4bl carb with less than 60K miles, garage kept and always registered no rust through and near perfect interior and top, also has the toneau cover, Gold with black interior. The people are asking 7000.00 for the car, any ideas if the "price is right"??
What would it be worth if not the 7K?
I think I have to move quick.
Thanks

you havnt been to the bank yet? the 440 in 1966 is the first year for the 440. the heads will have the small ext valves. i THINK other wise the heads are the same as a 1967 heads. do NOT let the stock carb get a way, do NOT do NOT trade the stock carb for a holley!!!!! do NOT mod anything, except DO go to an electronic ignition. its easy to put on, and NEVER thought to a bad thing.

What value???
Hello Moe,
The paint needs attention, but no rust to speak ofnone really maybe about the size of a dime hear or there but only surface rust. nothing rotted through. I'm just trolling for an opinion of the value .....what the car would be worth. I understand there were very few 440 4bl convertables....so the seller says. Any one else with opinions??? some one offered the seller 8500. but will give me first choice if I meet or beat the price.
Thanks in advance
Joe
