Default Wiring problems

Just installed a painless wiring kit on my 69and when I hooked up the BAT the maxi fuse blew. The fuse is located in between the starter and ign. Any clues as to what might cause this?

Default RE: Wiring problems

Two of the hardest things to troubleshoot over the internet are wire shorts and improperly hooked up equipment. Wish I could help but blowing a fuse can be caused by anything, anywhere. I'd look at wiring diagrams, old wiring and placement and any questionable areas on new wiring. Is this painless wiring replacing OEM wiring or is this car modified? I was never a fan of not using OEM replacement wiring on these cars. I replaced all my wiring with Year One's M&H wiring. It was direct bolt-in and exact to OEM. I hope you find your issue.
