Hey. Im 18 and jobless because I just moved and my uncle gave me his '99 neon. It has a Pacesetter Header and Fucuz Exhaust. I dont have any money right now so I was wondering if other neon enthusiests would help me out. I know eliminating the Heater and A/C would give me decent power and I live in Southern Cali so cold isnt a problem here and i like driving around with my windows down. Any other cheap or free HP mods will help and i would be very grateful. Thanks for all the help.

 

Weight reduction is always free. You can pull out a lot of useless metal and seats.

 

What kind of useless metal are you talking about? Reducing weight ain`t a bad idèa, but I didn`t know you could remove some metal?

 

Theres tons of metal you can remove. Theres a piece under the dash on the driver's side that doesn't do anything. You can take the seats out save for the driver's seat. Take the P/S and A/C out. There is also a piece of metal under the center console that doesn't need to be there. You can remove the passenger side airbag.

 

air bags are a bitch, what if it went off in yer face! that would hurt[:'(]

 

Disconnect the battery and wait an hour or so before messing with them so they are fully discharged.

 

Hey i've heard that each sticker is 5hp a piece. Big ones are 10. No, there really isn't much you can do with no money, cept weight reduction. Horsepower cost money, if it didn't everyone would be goin fast.
