OMG!

So tonight I call one of the parts departments at a local Dodge dealer (this one kicks *** they are open till 2AM M-Thu)
ask about a Mopar CAI.....

403.68 is the quote, my jaw dropped. I can't believe they are serious.

 

Believe it. While I was at my dealer today, I heard them quote a guy a price of $240 for ONE headlight....[:@]

 

You can get one for half that price online.

 

No doubt.....just an example of a dealer screwing a customer.....

SXT can get mopar online for half or just an after market?

 

I won't go into details, but I spent from 0700 hours to 1130hours sitting about 8 feet from the parts counter, reading Robert A. Heinleins's great Sci Fi classic, "Stranger In a Strange Land"....AND listening to the parts guy quote prices to callers and walk in customers....it was unsettling, to say the least.....[:'(]

 

I once was forced to pay $150 for two replacement vents.

Of course I paid for them but not before I cursed the guy out. It made me feel better.

 

I'm talking an AEM or Iceman intake. I have found the mopar one for 254 though. So over 400 is a serious rip off, gee, I wonder if thats why I don't buy parts from the dealer.
