overheating?
Hello. New to the forum and here's one for the books, maybe. The '95 sohc bought for my daughter has been returned since her divorce. It has an unusual overheating issue. The gauge will indicate high temp only on deceleration, stopping and, cornering. Normal cruise the gauge reads satisfactory temp reading.
I'm not sure if there is legitimate cause for alarm but, would sure like some help solving an "alarming" concern. Thanks, Jim Griffith

I’m assuming you have checked the coolant/antifreeze level. Does it overheat when sitting still idling? I’m thinking your cooling fan isn’t running, when cursing on the highway the normal air flow will keep it cool but when you slow down or stop the engine needs the fan to keep cool. If the fan isn’t running check the fuse in the power distribution center behind the battery, there is also a fan relay there, you can try swapping it with one of the other relays (there all the same).
