Default Fried computer

I've got a 95 SOHC Neon with a manual tranny. Minus one computer. I realize that I am going to have to get a new computer, but I wanted to weigh my options before getting it. Will the computer from an automatic work? Also, will a second gen computer work as well?
It looks like I'm going to have to call the dealership and try to order one from them otherwise.

As far as I know the PCM from an ATX will not work, but I'm not sure and I know that one from a second gen will not work.

You do have options.

AF/X and Mopar Performance. Or, which would be the cheapest, go to your local junk yard and pull a PCM from a Neon in there. Probably cost you about $17-$20 bucks. The dealer is gonna bend you over and ream you without any lube.

Meh. Tried the boneyards around town. None of them have a PCM from a 95 MTX Neon. Would I be bakring up the wrong tree assuming that any 1st gen PCM would work, as long as it were from a MTX?

No the 95's are different then the 96 and newers so you will have to get one for a 95. The one will work for an auto but it won't run the greatest but as a temporary thing it would work.

I would go and order a ATX or a Mopar form either modernperformance.com, or Howellautomotive.com. It will give you some nice power and you've already got a bad PCM, if you got the cash.
