I went to the junkyard today and the guy had two wrecked srt-4's. I need the head to try something out so i asked how much he wants for the head but he wont sell just the head. The guy wants 650 for the long block. Is this a good deal? the turbo and intercooler are not there so I dont know whether i should Go for it or not.

 

just buy a srt4, it would be so much cleaner.

 

I'd say go for it. It would be a hell of an upgrade. And it doesn't take much to get it to fit.

 

I'd say $650 is a good deal. Make sure you get everything, not just the engine. When I say everything I mean turbo related. Yes, I know th eturbo and manifold is not there but if you get everything turbo related that wasn't taken you'll have a nice turbo project. You can get a manifold for a few hundred more and a turbo for lowest price of $100.
