RE: Horrible Gas Mileage
man I have heard this from 2 other people now, makes me wonder if there isn't somethign weird.
sxt0486 what kind of mileage do you have at half a tank? mine has been anywhere from 135 to 180. I think I am getting about 26 mpg, but I got 30-32 in my 97 neon. Driving the same way, main differences are my older one was the DOHC, but I dont think that would make that much of a difference. Maybe just the fact that the newer one is about 200 lbs heavier (again something I dont think would play a big role)

RE: Horrible Gas Mileage
I dont get this tall gearing **** about getting better gas milage, to a point I can see where it would but I'll see idiots try to take a 6% grade in 5th gear or 4th even and have their pedal to the floor, errrrr that defeats the whole idea of this crap. True those long flat roads 5th is really nice so is cruse controll but I drive like my neon like I stole it and still get around 32mpg. Oh yea cc kills gas mileage.
Just personal opinion.
P.s. raced a 1988CRX with a b18a and uh... got smoked like B A D. I'm now in the market for a 91CRX Si 92Civic Si or a 93Civic EX

At half a tank I have 105 - 110 miles. At 170 miles on the tank my light comes on. The guy at the Dodge shop said the exhaust and intake shouldnt hurt it that bad and he wants me to bring it in monday first thing.

you're going to the dealer? you might as well handcuff your wrists to your ankles now, cause they won't be nice about it.
that whole honda thing almost makes me want to cry. the only output-related mod on your car is the muffler, don't expect to be blowing the doors off of much out there, especially if they're juiced up, and even if it is just a honda.

RE: Horrible Gas Mileage
Really sushi? I can't remember exactly what mine was, but for city driving it was high 20s, like 26-28mpg, and highway it was low 30s. Mine is also a mtx which will make a difference. First gen might do better mileage wise because aren't the 2nd gens a couple hundred pounds heavier?
