Do you think the hurst short throw shifter's are worth buying? I heard something like (they reduce the wear and tear on your shifter cables). Is that true?

I have never heard that it reduces wear on the cables, but it will help your shifts be quicker and more accurate. I have a Megan Racing sts that I picked up off of Ebay for like $30 with shipping.
