yeah NOS is just a brand like Band-aid and Kleenex. But its just the name used to refer to a product.

 

First off you will want to get the Indy intake manifold, it will give you a huge gain with your current mods, it is good for 30+ WHP gain on a 2.0L DOHC with just a CAI and PCM. Strut tower braces would help stiffen it up around the curves. Unorthodox lightweight cam gears. Engine grounding kit. Higher flow fuel injectors. Polyurethane bushings and a coil over kit. Cryo2 intake cooler. Moroso aluminum oil pan, it holds an extra quart and has a windage tray and trap doors to hold oil around the pick up tube. MSD dis-4 ignition box. The only things left that I can think of are to lighten the car and stiffen the chassis, tear the motor apart and put in longer lighter rods and lighter higher compression pistons and/or turbocharge and intercool it.

 

You don't really want the Indy. The gains are minimal and you need to be producing a hell of a lot of power to see any real difference. Most guys I know who have the Indy do not like it. I think what Road Runner is trying to tell you to get is the DIS 2 which might be a good investment for you. The DIS 4 is for 6 and 8 cylinder cars and won't work on your car. You won't see any gain frmot he grounding kit, unless of course you've got a lot of bad grounds already and have a stereo system. But as for performance gains there are none. You shouldn't need higher flow fuel injectors either but you can install them. YOu might see a little gain off of them but I wouldn't be surprised if they make the car run richer than normal. Neons run rich regardless.

The bushings are definitely a good buy as are the coil overs Leda makes a real nice set of coil-overs for Neons. I have a Morosso oil pan and it is nice. I've wondered about the Cryo2 intake cooler it sounds like a good idea but I don't know of anyone who has one.

Keep in mind, if you do go turbo you may not be able to use some of the bolt on stuff so keep that in the back of your mind as you build the car.

 

the hood i have on the car is real fiberglass with working air scoops. i dont know the dyno #s


so i quess i need a turbo ? there so expensive !!!

 

You don't NEED a turbo. It's just something to think about while you are building your car.
