From what I've read you can, however you have to switch out your entire cluster from your SE to the RT or SRT. Your mileage will be whatever it reads on the replacement cluster. They should be plug and play. And I believe the dealer is the only one who can reflash your cluster to read the correct mileage, and I don't believe it is very cheap for them to do it. I had my cluster replaced by them under warranty and they didn't reflash my cluster.

I hate to break it to you but they put a used cluster in your car, I would go back and complain if they didn't tell you, When I did my switch a while back and noticed the milage difference I call my local 5 star dick, I mean dealer, Score Chrys. Ply. Dodge, here in ohio, and they said that they can't reflash it cuz it burns in to the memory, so I offered that old bribe trick it didn't work either. So, I ripped it back out and it's sitting in my garage collecting dust until I can figure out a way to change it.

PS.. They will order a new one for you for about 500 with the correct mileage

I could be wrong, but they can reflash it, but they probally just don't want to do it and want $500 replacement.

I don't really care if they did. It's fixed and works flawlessly. And the mileage was not that far off so they could of ordered a new one and just guessed at what my mileage would be when I came in for it to be close to what it actually is. Screw paying 500 dollars for a new cluster just so my mileage is right. If you're actually right about that.

You can replace a 3 gage cluster with a 4 gage version and most features will work fine.
There is potentially a problem with features that were learned from the previous vehicle. for example, if the previous vehicle had ABS and yours did not, the cluster could think that the ABS module went bad.

The VIN from the original vehicle would remain stored in the cluster, so it would be traceable.

The dealer doesn't usually reprogram an odometer. There are a few service centers than can perform this, but the cluster must be ordered or sent to them for programming. Since it passes through several hands, each one wants a piece and the cost is pretty high.

Try it, if it works, enjoy and record you original mileage.
