no that does not sound too bad. Painting will vary, but I wouln't think much more than $150, mounting it yourself. I forgot what color your car was, but mine is silver and hard to match. If you want a real good match I would put them on then go have the whole car painted.

hey I'm in serious need of advice on bodykits, about a month ago I got in a fender bender and lost my front bumper and now I need to replace it. I was looking at the fiberglass bodykits on extremedimensions.com and they go on about how the fiberglass may not fit just right and you might have to mold on to or sand etc. What I want to know is how hard is it to mount a fiberglass bodykit on a 1st generation neon, *what tools would I need* I love the looks of the fiberglass kits but I'm strapped for cash and cant pay to have a autobody place mount it for me. If anyone has any insite they could give me on how to mount a fiberglass body kit on a car I would be VERY gratefull.

the wings west kit seems easy to install but it just isn't low enough for my tastes.

thanks a ton!!!

ok lol I'm stressed on this fiberglass stuff *if you cant tell*

What I want to know is can a jo shmo like me install a fiberglass bodykit a neon *1998* , I have a sander, grinder, drills and that crap so is it really as hard as the websites make it sound? I've got a garage to work in and basic power tools I just want some input from anyone that has had a fiberglass bodykit.

ps I plan on getting the steel Z3 fenders

if it really is an ordeal to do then I'll make a trip to the junkyard to get a stocker front bumper till I can get the cash to have the bodykit put on at a shop along with getting my car repainted.

Thanks guys!!!!
Tom

Silver metalic is a hard color to match not cause of fade, but cause of the metalic content, its a lighter color and the metalic makes a different in how it will look light or dark. IMO poly is better than fiberglass and has a lot less fitmant issues. I think fiberglass looks better, but tap fiberglass on a curb and its gonna chip or crack, poly will give a little.
