Default Motor Mounts and bushings installed!

Got my mounts and shifter bushings installed, and changed the oil while I was at it. And I have to say after giving her a drive that I like the mounts a lot. It really only vibes a lot when I'm starting out. My short throw has zero slop in it now with the new bushings. Even with testing it in the rain it seems like takes off a lot better. I got a few pics I can put up later of my install. I'm happy with my cheap parts, made a big difference.

Sxt,
Where did you get the sts buishings? I thought the ones that came in the car O/E were pretty stiff???

Do they actually make that much of a diffrence?

No, the stock ones are so mushy its unreal. I'm still getting used to it...but lets just say I slammed 2nd gear back so hard I ripped the shift **** off! I'm still getting used to it, 3rd especially I'm not used to for some reason. But the more I drive, the sweeter it gets. I'll take a pic of them for you later today sometime.

What happens when you get motor mounts

Stock bushing

Me squishing the bushing because its so flexible

FYI...my new bushings I could not bend, squish, anything, they're very stiff.

Dude,
Looks sweet, here are a few questions!

1. Where did you get the bushings, and how much did they cost?

2. Do they really make a diffrence, as far as shifting?

3. Your intake, is that just a short ram, or a CIA? What kind is it?

4. How many miles are on your car?

5. Did the motor mount inserts cause more of a vibration than stock, help with wheel hop?

Hope I'm not driving you crazy, im just curious!

Thanx,
Jeff

1. MP, they were around 21 shipped.

2. Yeah, its seems like my short throw got even shorter..if that makes sense. It seems like barely have to move it to change gears now. You also have to be a little more exact with it I guess, you basically can tell when you're in gear. Some people probably wouldn't like it. Not sure though.

3. I just ripped out my air box and put a K&N on there.

4. Around 12,000

5. Yes more vibration. When you start it vibes a bit, when you start out in first it vibes, but thats really about it as far as more vibration goes. I have gotten no wheel hop yet and I have driven it pretty hard. Hard enough to rip my shift **** off going into 2nd.

Hey, where did you get your bushings and motor mounts. I have a '95 SOHC and I've been looking for those same parts. I need some rock solid mounts to get it up a little faster, no pun intended, and I just ordered my new short throw shifter.
