Default strut braces anyone?

What do yall think of strut braces? Are they worth the money if my car only has coilover, and no other suspension parts except p195 60r14's? It's a '95 four door SOHC.

I've heard they don't do that much. If you want a more noticeable difference get some sway bars. I put one on my buddies car and damn it made a big difference.

sounds good. where can Ipick some up? and how much. I thought I'd give SB's a try b/c they're inexpensive, and it seems like all the top competitors run them.

Depends on if you get front and rear sway bars. I've looked into getting sway bars for my car, its just a matter of time and money for me. When I do, it will probably be the eibach front/rear sway bar kit. It should work well with my eibach lowering springs. SCC used them in their project neon car and seemed to write good things about them. I'm not sure if your setup would or should be any different for coilovers.

cool I'll do a little research and see what happens. My strut bars arrived today so I guess I'll try them out, at least until I get some more info on the sway bars. Thanks

I put a strut bar on my car and noticed a total difference, but my car has wide tires and wheels and is not lowered as of yet, so it stopped my car from twisting from being stuck to the ground so much.

If my opinions matters at all, I would do both if I were you, it couldn't hurt you any well except your check book

Anything you do to make your car more rigid is good. The strut tower braces are going to give you more responsive steering. Untill you start geting into high hp, its not gonna do much more. When you do put them in make sure that you pretension them to keep them nice and stiff.

I am not sure about yours, but I have a Megan Racing brace, lift the front wheels off the ground by the frame, put it on the towers, then there should be double nuts on the bar, tighten them up, then tighten down the 3 bolts on the tower. That will make it so that it is already tight left to right on the towers and will make it work better.
