Sure they are. They were built in the same plants and factories as Dodge.

There are no physical differences between Dodges and Plymouths other than badging.

Pop-Quiz:

Dodge or Plymouth?

Wrong.

It's a Plymouth.

1999

Dodge still make Neons. It's Plymouth who no longer exists as a company.

And that RT is actually a ticker of a performance company I used to buy parts from.

Rt-Performance.com

They are no longer in business anymore either.

At any rate do you see my point?

You can not physically tellt he difference betweena Dodge and a Plymouth because there really are none.

Yeah, but you still aren't getting his point. They are physically the same thing, they just have different badges.

Yes, that is my car. I don't remember what happened to plymouth, but they quit making cars in what....99 or 2000? That is why there is no plymouth cars like the SXT and SRT4.

Yes, that is my sled.

And no, the decision to discontinue the Plymouth line of cars had absolutely nothing to do with the SRT or the SXT's. It had nothing to do with Dodge at all.

In 1998 it was decided that after 2000 Plymouth would no longer exist. The SRT was still in development at that point and wasn't even thought as a produciton car.

The reason why Plymouth was discontinued was mainly because the line-up of vehicles was the same exact line-up as Dodge and most of Chrysler's cars. DCx took a look at all branches and it was decided that Plymouth's sales were not as good as Dodge or Chrysler so it was decided to merge Dodge and Plymouth. Dodge took many of the models from Plymouth they did not make and those that they did stayed the same but Plymouth as a name and a company disappeared.

There is no Dodge is better than Plymouth or Plymouth better than Dodge. Both companies were and are Chrysler and both are equal.
