Default Errrrr....damn bushings.

Well I took my center console out to check out my bushings because I've been having a problem hitting 3rd gear. Sure enough the bushing on the right cable was not completely on, it was enough that it I was having serious problems getting it into 3rd gear. I drag raced like that the other day, had my highest trap speed of the year with faster than stock times with more weight than I usually run, with killing probably .5 seconds trying to get it into 3rd gear. Well I put the center console back together and drove it afterwards and 3rd is smooth as butter again.

Yeah I want to...but the track closes down for the year tomorrow. And I can't go again. So my 15.5 will have to wait til next year. Well more realistically it would probably be a 15.8...but my trap speed is indicative of around a 15.5.

Yah...I'm thinking I fixed it. Just had her out for another drive. Wound first out...chirped it going into 2nd. Wound 2nd out...almost got a tire chirp catching 3rd. I'd say its fixed. And I still can't get over how hard this thing pulls since I put the motor mounts in.[sm=smiley4.gif][sm=icon_rock.gif]

Now you know what to look at first if you start to have that problem again.

What kind of motor mounts did you put in there. I'm looking for some but don't know the different brands.

I just put those same motor mount inserts in my car. I got them from JEG'S they do pull a whole lot harder than stock. It feels like I'm really putting down the power now.
