I have the clear 3rd brakelight and I had a red colored bulb in there but it has since faded. Anyone know where to get an LED bulb for the 3rd brakelight? I believe its bulb #922. I woud have to double check on that...but I think thats what it is.

 

I know APC makes and carries a whole multitude of bulbs.

Bulbs is all APC is good for.

 

Yes they do...thats what most my bulbs are is APC. I just remember when I got my clear 3rd brakelight I had a hell of a time finding a red bulb...and I'm not sure that I ever found a red LED bulb that fit.

 

I'm sure you could mod the light housing.

 

Make your own with a couple resistors, a couple red leds from radio shack, and a little bit of soldering and you have your own custom led third brake light. If you want I can do some digging and find what resistors you need exactly so you don't blow your leds.

 

Hah...I don't trust myself to do something like that.

 

Seriously its not that hard, but if you don't trust yourself try and find a friend of yours that isn't afraid to do it. Its well worth the effort and it just gives you another one off touch that nobody else wil have.
