MTX to ATX I don't think there are any major differences other than the TB, ATX maybe a bigger radiator cause of the trans cooler. I have an MTX so that what I know the most about.

It has to be a '95 or early '96 cause it has the plastic intake manifold on it. Only a very few late '96's had the new metal manifolds but as far as I know none of the '95's did.

I am confused, you are saying that the plastic was phased in in late 95 early 96, or metal was? I have a 98 with a plastic manifold.

No, they all came with metal IM's in 95 but in 96 they were phased out to plastic intakes on the SOHC's only. The DOHC's still use the metal ones.

No I think it was the opposite. When I bought the stock '95 it had a pllastic man. In late '96 they put a few metal ones on the SOHC's b/c of a shortage of the plastic ones. In '97 the metal ones took the place of the palstic completley. The engine I had was a '95 but so was the engine I got, it has the same plastic intake man but a much larger throtle body and some different sensor ports.

Mine is stock and a 98 SOHC, I would have to say it was the metal that was phased out or they used both, maybe the metal on the DOHC.

I see under your description that you have a Pacesetter manifold; where did you get it or where can I find it on the internet? Is it any good?

you can get the pacesetter at modernperformance, or on ebay, its like $200 and change. They are ok, the paint will peal off fairly quickly, but I have heard good things about the armour coating, $50 more. I just ordered the kirk racing header, which is better, but it eliminates the cat and is again $50 more than the pacesetter.
