Default Throtle body?

On my new engine, '95 SOHC the throtle body was much more massive than the one on the original engine. Why? and it looks bored out too. Why are there so many differences between two engines of the same year and model?

I know...but I need other things first. I might be getting snow tires here soon since mine suck major ***. Snow will be here soon. Plus, I'm in the market for a n2o kit to throw on in the spring. I'll need new tires in the spring whether i get snow wheels/tires.

Never had to deal with snow, I live in Baton Rouge, La. That's a lotta tires. I died when I got my Falkens, $200 a peice, **** a set of snow tires, I wish I'd never have to buy a new set of rubbers again.

Rubbers...hehe

Ok, mind in the gutter again.

Probably because you've got a 55mm TB on there. There are several different sized throttle body's you can get.

Rubbers and body...hehe......I'm in a weird mood tonight.

the only reason I can think of that the TBs would be different is if you had a MTX and the donor motor came from an ATX.

that would make sense wouldn't it? Is the engine different in any other ways you know of?
anything I need to watch out for?

Other than the TB no. Nothing would be different. Of course if your engine is not from a 95 like you originally thought that would be frounds for the sensors being different. I know the95's were different than the 96's-98's had different sensors than the 99's-2000+'s.

Which is what leads me to believe that the engine is not from a 95.
