Dodge NeonThe sport compact car that took the world by storm. the Dodge Neon. Depending on the trim level you get, this sporty ride has something to offer everyone.
My 2001 Neon has 220,000 miles on it (made it to the moon) and original engine and transmission are still going strong. Make it this far by doing nothing special, just regular oil and transmission fluid changes with other minor maintenance.
My 1998 Neon has little over 155,000 on it. Has had hard life since it had 45,000 (when I bought it). Got some piston slap going on! Two of my friends had same generation Neons and made it to 400,000 (and more) with easy highway miles.
I bought my 2000 three years ago with 144K. It now has 177K and is still going. I have a feeling this beater will outlive me. I do the regular maintenance and repairs to keep it going. It's not too fussy a car and very reliable.
My 2005 has 264000 miles and 1 new trany, 1 head, (forgot about the timing belt), many brakes and rotors, 3 windshields, 3 batteries, and still has original water pump and alternator.
