So i started driving my 95 neon 2 days ago..lots of problems already.
Problem 1: I have put 50 miles on my car since i filled it up last..And ive gone through 1/4 tank according to the guage. I havent had time to fill it back but that doesnt equal out to 30mpg like i should be getting. Filter is new..So is the tune up. so wtf?
Problem 2: I will be driving my car and sometimes the speedometer will go up and down like its dancing..Any ideas how to fix this?
Problem 3: Sometimes my heat or AC dont work. Same with the wipers or blinkers. Like yesterday i didnt have heat, wipers or blinkers..But after like 10min of warming it they worked. But now i dont have heat or blinkers..But my wipers work. My ABS and Airbag light are both on...And i check the fuse panel inside the car with my current tester thing..And none of the fuses have power to them
Problem 4: No interior lights. Since i had the cars the interior lights havent worked. I replaced the switch but nothing. None of the fuses are bad either
Problem 5: This things is slow as hell!!!!!!! Maybe im used to my S10 but my buddies sunfire blew me out of the water..like it wasnt even close.
Problem 6: My radio doesnt work..I havent tore it out or anything but the lights on the radio work..just no clock or stations.
I think thats about it..Im just getting sick of it already...

you have a bad ground somewhere. i had all the same symptoms in my ford ranger and that was the problem.

 

just becaues you used a 1/4 tank dosent mean a thing the tank isnt square so youll use say 1/4 tank for the fisrt 20 1/4 tank for the next 30 ect.now thats not exact but i hope you get what im saying

 

sounds like a grounding issue. What you have to do is find the electrical connections for all or most of those components get yourself a multimeter turn all the accessories to the on position. and start backprobing in until you get a voltage reading on your multi meter. You will want to pick up a wiring diagram so that you have some kind of idea of what your looking for and you might even be able to solve the problem without touching the car just by following all the components on the diagram back to the common ground or power point. It is kinda a complicated and time consuming deal. So I hope that I have kinda helped

 

just a hot in the dark, but years ago i had a 95. i hada similar problem where at times nothing would work - gauges, lights, radio, hvac, etc. turned out to be a bad connection in the ignition where your key goes in. if i jiggled it a bit, it would work. the spring loaded in there also was bad and causing the key to not turn all the way back after starting, which made the car think it was still in 'start' mode.
