are they good or bad for my sxt what do they do who on here has one.

 

There are no such things as "chips" for the neon. There are performace PCMs that are great. There are those Ebay "chips" that are total and complete Bull. And there are some aftermarket controlers that you can wire in. The best and easiest is to get the performance PCM.

 

yeah i ordered something for my car on ebay that came with a chip that promised 20hp...... it definately didnt work but it was free so whatever.

 

yeah I did the same thing, the theory behind them is good, trick the pcm into thinking its getting cold air so it dumps more fuel, but the 02 sees a rich signal and leans it right back out.

 

were can I get one of these pcms and how much does it run.

modernperformance.com or howell automotive have them. I think they are around $300. Just make sure that if you ever plan on going turbo that you keep your stock one, your gonna need it. They do have a core charge so if you wanna keep your stock one your gonna have to get one from the junk yard or somewhere else.
