Default maybe too personal but hey...

Thought I'd throw this out there and see what comes back since I'm a self proclaimed curious cat[:-]

How much are you gusy paying per month on your neon's... ORRRRR...

How much did you wind up spending on modding your paid neon's... ORRRRR...

Just how much did your damn neon cost you?

Mine was sticker'ed at $10,900 but I talked them down to $10,500 and then received $500 for my trade in.

***ALSO***

How much are you guys paying for insurance these days? Mine is so rediculous I'm kind of embarrassed to say but it's more than $200 per month. Just thought I'd ask and see cause I know everybody has a story to tell about their cars and how they financed them or came into money to get them.

PS> I'm also kind of curious... why did you guys chose neon in the first place?

HOLLA BACK

Well... I wanna start by saying my option's were limited to grand am, ford focus, neon, civic, or something in that price class. I originally was looking at a ford focus (don't ask why), but I made a trip to a dodge dealer just to see what they had. My idea of a neon was not a good one, I thought they were ugly car's that served no use. Then... I seen the Neon I bought, it was the first one I looked at, and the one I wanted (besides a srt-4). I think the Neon look's great when you put a lil into it. Not to mention the way my Neon sound's compared to the factory focus, civic, ect.

Price: 19k with option's.

Payment's: 398mo.

Financing: Up there.

Insurance: 110mo.

The financing suck's, but right now I can easily afford the payment's. And before long I'll refinance it. I don't regret it either.

I'd really like to get an SRT-4 Body Kit but I'm affraid that I won't be able to afford it

What pisses me off is that now I guess dodge is coming out with the new Dodge Special Edition SRT Design Neon. If only I could've gotten that I would have. Now I think it's too late though. I would've much rather had to add that into my financing rather than pay cash out of pocket. They look just like I want mine to look like.

I WANT IT[]

I wish I coulda got that much for my trade in, I traded in a 99' Mazda Protege. The thing looked alright, but was internally beaten up from racing it. For example, one of the link's on the strutbar came off, and would not stay on anymore. The engine was also taking a beating, I chiped a piston skirt one day, which made a nasty lil rattle. I only got $1000 for it, but I guess that wasn't too horrible, considering it had 140,000 miles on it.

i'll start by saying i didn't want a neon at all, sorry but i was of the popular opinion that "neons suck, why spend money on them". well i came home from school one day and my dad said he found a car for me. a lime green neon. he said lime green and i pictured this old junky truck my neighbor has that is a faded light green.. major turn down, second turn down was it was a neon. so i was like what the hell, i'll go look at it. turns out, it has 125k miles, DOHC engine, rims, and the cd player. so im thinking ok he's asking a bunch. 3500 was his asking, i talked him down to 3000. thats my story

Car was stickered at $15.5k I ended up paying $22k (interest was high at 11.2%)

As for insurance I haven't paid anything in over 3 years. I was on my mother's policy for the longest time because when I lived in NJ I couldn't get insurance.

My policy just got cancelled in September. I'm still paying nothing for insurance but where I was legal before I am now illegal.

I'm too poor to have insurance, I can't afford to really feed yself and I'm going to spend $2-$300 a month on car insurance. I think not.
