Replacing Clutch
Hey guys, i'm new here and I want to know how do you go about picking the right clutch to replace my old one(03 dodge neon). I did a little searching on the net and I've come across prices from 200-800. But the problem is that I have no clue what the F(excuse me) i'm looking at. So I figuredwhy not hit the forums and ask for help.
It would all depend on what you plan on doing with the car. If you have alot of performance upgrades you would want one with more clamping pressure than stock but if it is just going to be stock then any clutch should do.
hey thnx for replying..can u explain performance upgrades? i got this car used and i wasnt fully familar with the manual until now..anyway i'd like to get a fresh clutch, a little better than stock if i could. my recent search took me to clutchmasters.com in which the prices there are pretty hefty. im asking in regards to brand, price or how they work..u said more clamping pressure which is for what?
as far as what else i want to get for it are new tires, maybe battery, an alarm, and things like that..

r u going to do any performance upgrades to it??? such as nitrous or turbo, or anything that gains hp???
if not u can go stock clutch for about 200 dollars, if u plan on adding performance parts, then go with alittle better grade clutch....

as much as i would like to get performance upgrades, im not for this specific car. as i've come to love the dodge neon, in the future i plan on getting the srt version in which i would upgrade. anyhow, im going to probably have to go with something a little better than stock because being 19 i drive like there's no tomorrow..so im looking for longevity and durability.
