brake trouble
FROM WHAT I KNOW IT COULD BE LIKE THAT FOR A COUPLE OF TIMES U DO USE IT.... THE PADS ANDROTOR NEED TO GRIND INTO EACHOTHER TO GROOVE ITSELF.... IF THERE WAS A OILY SUBSTANCE ON THE BRAKES HOPEFULLY U CLEANED IT OFF WITH BRAKE CLEANER OR CARBUREATOR CLEANER.... IF IT DOESN'T STOP THEN MAYB YOUR CALIPER FROZE UP???

as for the brake light, you need to re-bleed it. there is air in there.
as far as the squeeling, you have to clean the rotors off with brake cleaner or some type of degreaser and let it dry before you install or you will get noise. rotors are greased before packing so they dont rust in storage.

similar topic so i thought i would post up in here too. i replaced both my fron rotors about a month ago and have semi-metallic pads installed. i didnt clean the oil off the rotors i figured they would burn the oil off after a while. anyways, im getting a squealing noise from my fron drivers side but only after ive been driving for a while and the brakes are hot. its a steady squealing noise cuz i dont think i have abs. any suggestions?? brakes were bled properly, pins and bolts lubricated, no warpage on the rotors. im stumped. maybe just some cheap*** pads or something??
inthewerks, did you put syl-glide or similar moly based lube behind the pads?
also, i have had issues with semi metalic brakes squealing towards the end of the stop. i just lived with it and then bought the cheaper crap pads next timeand they didnt squeal.

I replaced the front right brake caliper, rotor, and pads, and now the car squeals worse than before and the brake light has been on since. Anyone have any pointers?

one more thing, you should replace pads and other brake hardware in pairs.
