Default Hazy headlights

My headlight lenses are cloudy on the top 2/3. My coworker who is a shade tree mechanic said I could buff them to like new with abrasive wax (polishing compound). Any truth to this?

I have seen a polish for plastic car lenses at Pep Boys. I forget who makes it? It's a brown liquid. I have used it but it doesn't seem to do much without putting in massive muscle work. Maybe with a buffing wheel it would work OK. May be worth looking for it.

You can pick up new lights on ebay for maybe $200. Or some light compound and some muscle.

Yeah, before I spend that kind of money, I'll be shopping the U-Pull-It junkyards for those and front seats.

If u want to know how to fix that problem I can tell you.... if they are only cloudy on the outside and not the inside (if they are and aren't bad then it might be ok)... get some window cleaner, car paint compound, and car polish. Now there is a guy on ebay were u can buy the kit for like $15 w/ shipping or you can buy it all separate but u get less off ebay so price out how much u need for the job.... I’ll give u a link to the guy’s store. It takes some time to rub the **** on but I really cleared mine up and saved me buying a new set of headlights. It works on marker lights too

you are right. they will work, but there are still plastic. The ones you get from ebay are and just a cleaner. You still have plastic headlights, the one on ebay are glass.
