I have herd a lot of these are real lemons, I am about to buy a used one for 500 USD, the seller sounds like an honest man, he is a mechanic at a harly davidson, he says there is a sensor that is bad, that he will replace before he sells it to me, the sensor causes it to not cool properly when driving normally, and he also says if you floor it, it will cool it faster (so driving on the interstate it will cool normally) he is planning on moving to arizona, and has many vehicles and needs to get rid of this one, aside from the sensor he says it has no other mechanical or electrical problems. does this sound like a good deal?

 

I think 500.00 is a good deal, but be prepared to do alot of work on this thing. I would be apprehensive about the cooling issue, yes it could be a sensor but it also could be a head gasket which is a super common problem on the neons. I would run away from that car unless you are ready to do alot of repairs.
