Yeah thats the multifunction switch, i had the same problem with mine and my headlights would turn on and off when they felt like it too.

yeah the hi/low switch in the mutifunction was bad I would hit the turn signal at night and the headlights would turn off and I would have to jiggle the switch to get them to turn back on.

I had it done at the dealership under warenty, but I have done them on other cars before, its not hard at all. On the airbags, just disconnect the negative battery terminal before you start with the wires.

yeh you always want to unplug the battery when working with wires but its a good idea to wait like 10-15 mins because the airbag has an internal battery that takes that long to drain.. you don't want any accidents with an airbag thats for sure..
