Angry Battery Troubles in a 2005

i was having issues with my battery, so i changed it. Im not the most mechanicly inclined , but i got the plate off, and the battery out, and a new one in. Problem though, the positive Connection gets hot to the touch when the car is running. Any thoughts? Suggestions? please and thanks!

Any corrosion forming on the posts? Is the battery (positive terminal) real close to the engine block?

Theres no Corrosion, nope. But the positive end, is pretty close to the Engine. Im thinking about getting a slightly smaller battery .

Im not sure but I think that since the + post is real close to the engine block, it's supposed to get a tad hot. Thats why your car should have some sort of +post cover (red rubber thing). My 02 Neon has it. Switching to a smaller size battery is not highly recommended.
