ill 1up ur frustration on the p0340 code. i just rebuilt my 03 neon se. it takes 10 seconds to start. has a rough idle and is throwing that code. runs fine thru the rpm range. i have a brand new crank position sensor and the cam sensor isnt more then 4 months old. i have the comp 200 cam, which is made for the 2nd gen neon.

any help???

 

Thanks, killbassa, for the follow-up. I'm having the same issue--have replaced both camshaft and crankshaft sensors, checked voltage, gone half blind checking wiring, and am pretty well resigned to-- heaving sigh-- doing the timing belt. It's a 2006 Stratus and if I ruin it. A timing belt is new territory for me.
