Default Squeeking noise under hood with blower on...help!!!

hey guys im new to this site and new to the whole neon thing since my gf just bought a 2002 Es 4cyl, im a diesel guy soo these cars are a whole new world, she loves the car and it seems like a great car soo hopefully someone can help me here, when we start the car to warm it up or really anytime the car is running and AT AN IDLE theres a squeeling noise like it almost sounds like her alternator but as soon as i take the car off and idle it goes away and it only does then when we have the heater blower running no matter on high or low it still does it at an IDLE and either shuttin the blower off and just taking the car off and idle makes the squeel go away, i was just wondering if like the inside of the alternator is like coming unwound and cant keep up with the blower running and giving that little bit of throttle helps it keep up with the blower...any ideas on what it could be?? it also makes a very quick squeel as soon as we start the car like as soon as it turns over and start it makes a quick squeek?? any help would be great..thanks

it is your alternator with a load trying to keep up with the use of voltage. Have your charging system checked at the earliest.

yes, sometimes it is the bearings as it pushes the stator under loads and sometimes it is just the brushes. The one thing you do want to do yourself is check the belt tension and make sure all your connections at the alternator and battery are clean and tight, to eliminate a few things in finding the solution. Because batteries are not getting cheaper.

Is the vent control in the defogger position? If so, your AC is kicking on too and it may be that it squeeks when the AC kicks on/off.

Have you replaced the belt recently? Old belts sometimes squeek when put under a load. Don't use that belt conditioner crap either. Waste of time and money.
