Default 98 neon cranks but will not start

Hi there I have a 98 neon with automatic transmission that started up and my wife drove it about a mile and suddenly notice it started to lack power and as she pulled onto the shoulder it died. She cranked it but would not start. I've had the spark plugs out and they all fired. I pulled the the whole rail with the injectors and the are all spraying. The things I've changed on it before ohming them out was the camshaft sensor and the crankshaft sensor. My brother helped me to get it running with starting fluid and while it started I kept the accelerator down a bit and after a while it was running on its own ( without the ether) I let it run until the engine warmed up and the cooling fan came on then left it idling on its own. It wouldn't start up without the ether. But it did seem to run rich when it was idling. It won't start but I did pull a 24 aside the 12, and 55. Could this be the one sensor to keep it from starting? I was hesitating on buying it as I had been experiencing a problem with CEL coming on several times because of a code P0743 (open or short condition detected on torque converter clutch solenoid circuit)

The error code 24 indicates a problem with your Throttle Position Sensor (TPS). Most likely it needs replacing.

Take off the throttle body, soak it in cleaner fluid and then clean the hell out of it - especially where the TPS sensor and the IAC sensor(s) are located.
