Good show, bad drive home..
Well I just got home from the Ocean City Car Show... It was a great show, alot of nice cars.. Well at the end I pack up all ready to go.. took out my hood supports and all.. Well about 5 miles down the road im going about 40 and all the sudden all I see is black, yep my hood blew up. And yes I forgot to secure it with racing pins.. Anyway the only damage was to my cf hood which the ends were bent.. Its repairible but will look like crap so I am gonna repair it then do a paint job on the hood leaving some of it cf.. Other wise u'll see the threads torn up.. Any way also my hood latchs are shot to hell.. Instead of getting new ones, I love the reverse hoods, so I was wondering how hard would it be to do this on a neon and is there any how tos? If I cant do it myself will a body shop do it..? Thanks
Man that really sucks... I was thinking about doing that with my neon. I'm pretty sure if you find a specialilty shop they can do it for you. My dad is going to show me how it's done. I asked my dad about it once, he said it wouldn't be hard but I don't know what exactly would be involved.
