oil pan drain plug head rounded off
Yesterday I attempted to change my oil, which I have done plenty of times, and when I tried to remove the oil plug, it was so hard to remove. I ended up rounding the bolt head. That is why I hate taking my car to an oil change place because they seem to always have a tendency to over tighten that bolt.[:@] Anyways, I can't take it somewhere to remove the bolt because I put some of that engine flush and the bottle says not to drive the vehicle.[&o].
QUESTION
Anyways I am thinking of removing the oil pan and drilling out the old bolt and get a new one or just get a new pan. From what I see is that there are about a dozen bolts to remove. Is it pretty straight foward or are there any hidden problems I will encounter trying to take of the pan. Is there another solution.
thanks in advance

Yeah u got air tools? get a smaller sized socket beat it on w/ a hammer and use the air tool to break it free....if you dont try grinding it down w/ a grinder to the size of another socket....dont have a grinder? Maybe you can drill a hole and tap it to pull it out but i dont know if its possible but those would be my guesses.
Use a pair of Vise Grips, they are locking pliers, just put them around the bolt, turn the screw 'til the thing is flush against the bolt, take it away turn the screw slightly a bit more then open it up, grab the bolt and lock down on it so it's real tight. turn and it's off, replace it with a fram sure drain plug so you never have that problem again.
Ok I tried just about everything to try to get that bolt off, in fact I just made it worse. Anyways I just decided to buy a new pan. I called several salvage yards and none had one. so I checked ebay and found this one. Is this one going to fit. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WD1V
My car is a 2002 Dodge Neon SE 2.0L.
P.S. some of the salvage yards asked if I need a steel or aluminum pan, how do I know what I have or what comes with these cars.
thanks for the help,

Craftsman has some bolt out tools that are perfect for stuff like that and use them myself to fix cars that have had that problem. Cheaper than a pan. Just by a new drain plug. NO MORE JIFFY LUBE!!!
