Default 02 Neon code issues

ok i got the code P1684 Battery Loss in the Last 50 Starts The battery has been disconnected within the last 50
starts. true on that one it has been. but what i can not figure out is i get the P0700 and nothing else no other code behind it. the P1684 reads first then the P0700. Any ideas please on what is going on? Engine light stays on, I just has oil changed plugs and wires, lube job done new tires. New Air filter. but the engine light has been on for a few months, at first it would come on go off come on go off now for the last month it has stayed on. Need help please.

Did you get the codes with a reader or the cluster? If the cluster, get a reader to see if there are any other P07XX codes.

I got both codes by reading them from the odometer when you turn the key off and on a few times it gives you the codes then says Done.

The transmission codes (besides the general fault- P0700) tend not to ever show up in the cluster.

ok so i actually need to take it and have it check at a tranmission shop to get the other codes that are needed to be read?

A decent transmission shop will pull the codes for free if you tell them there is a general fault code, but don't know what exactly is wrong and you want to know if they can tell you so "they can fix it" for you when you have the money...kind of thing.

Well no need to check the codes...lol after researching the car and issues with the Neons we have pulled the tranny and i have ordered a new one. problem solved now..lol Thank you for your replys.
