Does anybody know if i can take out the stock keyless entry box on my 03 neon and put the after market unit in that same place and use the wires that are plugged into the stock box and cut them and use them with my aftermarket? or do i have to actually run wires to the steering collum and door kick panels and all the other places?

And is it even safe to unplug the stock unit? or do i have to keep it there even with the aftermarket one?
