For some reason I am having a really hard time getting the car to go into reverse . It does not grind it just wont go into gear most of the time. All others gears seem to be fine as I have no issues getting it in gear 1st through 5th . Any idea as to what could be the problem ?

 

Have you checked for DTC's?

 

hate to sound stupid but what are DTC's ? Ill assume its something to do with the drive train

 

Try replace the gear oil and replace it with ATF. Diagnoistic Trouble Code (DTC)
